We Discourage the Request for It. WE CHARGE $5 to do any estimate for expedited shipping. PLEASE Do not ask for expedited shipping unless you are prepared to pay that charge plus the actual expedited charge. WE RECOMMEND, in our customers' best interests, that they not make this request. That is truly our best advice for our customers. UPS and US Postal Service rate increases in 2007 to the present have simply sent the cost of this service out of sight and reason for the size items we ship. Sure we can do it. But most customers don't want it, after asking, when they learn the cost. Perhaps 3 in all of 2008were willing. Reconfirmed in 2010 -- actually in 2009 to mid 2010 we have had one customer accept the fast shipping cost for the item they ordered. All others refused the expedited shipping because of the cost. |

It is very unusual that customers will choose to pay expedited shipping for our rather large items. |
We want to help customers, and provide service, but there is a reason we don't encourage asking for expeditious shipping. The cost is very high. These are not small items we sell, not books and CDs, and they cost to ship. When 90% of those who ask for fast shipping learn the estimated cost, they change their minds, when the rest of the remaining 10% learn the refined more accurate estimate they change their minds. In the meanwhile, Time is lost and their orders actually delayed. |
