Note that the Memory Foam part of this Sofa is essentially a 1" pad of memory foam laid over the underlying orthopedic convoluted foam body. What is MEMORY FOAM? A denser foam, more comfortable and supportive, developed during the NASA Space Program, that does have therapeutic, comfort factors not available in regular foam .
