Turn the Console upside down and wrap the front strap
around it, tighten but leave loose enough to slip under the Console Lid
when you place on top of the Console. |

front strap under the front of the Console Lid.

For example --Using the
driver (Left side of the console) seat side containment strap -
Open the loop
and take one end and bring it to the back of the seat; reach under the
(passenger) seat to your right, find the metal rail, slide the strap under
and around it, pull it out from under the seat and relock it to the other
side of the containment strap forming a circle.

metal rail and pull out and reconnect to the other part of the
